A sea voyage is supposed to be fun and, above all, good for your health - but that's far from the reality aboard the cruise ship "Antje". Passengers falling out with each other is nothing new, but murder? That's something Captain Hacker never bargained for. When the body promptly disappears, the evidence left behind is thin. The next port is still a long way off, and there's no police officer on board to track down the culprit.

For Grete Glövich, however, this is the perfect setup. An avid crime reader with a particular fondness for mass murderers, she feels practically destined to crack the case. That her cooking suffers in the process doesn't bother her much - Captain Hacker and the other passengers, on the other hand, are considerably less pleased.

As if that weren't enough, everyone suddenly starts suspecting everyone else, turning life on board into something closer to a war zone than a holiday cruise.
