Agathe un ik - A Comedy by Frank Pinkus. Translated into Low German by Arnold Preuß. — Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater, Rendsburg

Klaas Kästner is fed up with women. His great love has found another man. His brother Falk tries with all his might to interest him in the world of ladies again. But that's not Klaas' only misfortune: he's an unemployed journalist, despite writing wonderful, sensitive articles - especially about women. Falk has a saving idea: what if he published one of these articles under a female pseudonym? The trick works: as Klara Kästner, Klaas finally achieves the success he's been waiting for. Problems arise when he's offered a position at the women's magazine "Agathe" - but they only hire women. And editor-in-chief David Posselt expects Klara, not Klaas Kästner. There's only one solution: Klaas must become Klara. With Falk's help, a miraculous transformation takes place, and the new colleague Klara immediately makes her mark. Until love puts an end to this otherwise convincing plan - and in a double sense at that. Editor-in-chief David sees in Klara the woman of his life. And when Klaas meets the young actress Maya, his heart also starts racing. What follows is a charming, comedic game of hide-and-seek, in which love complicates everything - and in which a man disguised as a woman gets into trouble, in which the young actress must discover to her surprise that she now likes women, in which the editor-in-chief comes off worse, and in which even Falk cannot avoid a change of role.
