About: Richard Galliano

A pioneer of the accordion in jazz, Galliano spent decades bridging French musette, tango and classical music - working alongside Piazzolla, Charlie Haden and Wynton Marsalis. His catalogue of more than 70 albums spans solo recitals, chamber music and big-band settings.

The Prinzregententheater is a grand neo-Baroque theatre in Munich, built in 1901 and modelled on the Bayreuth Festspielhaus. Originally conceived as a Wagner opera house, it features an amphitheatre-style auditorium with excellent acoustics. Today it serves as one of Munich's premier stages, hosting opera, theatre, and concerts, and is home to the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding.
