Guided dome ascent
Frauenkirche, Dresden, Germany
The dome ascent is spatially and organizationally separate from the church tour. Please note that the construction of Frauenkirche differs from current building standards. Due to safety hazards, children under 12 years old may only ascend the dome when accompanied by an adult. We recommend ascending the dome only in good health: not if you suffer from fear of heights and/or claustrophobia, mobility restrictions, respiratory diseases, or visual impairment, and only in sturdy footwear. Entry to the dome is forbidden for intoxicated persons. Smoking and the use of open flames are prohibited both on the way to the viewing platform and on the platform itself. It is strictly forbidden to throw objects from the viewing platform. You must follow the instructions of the supervising staff and church guide at all times. Parents are responsible for their children. The dome ascent is undertaken at your own risk. The dome ascent is weather-dependent. If there is frost on the viewing platform or wind speeds exceed force 6, ascent is not possible.
Meeting point: Entrance G (northeast entrance) of Frauenkirche.
