FreiKultur - Stanley Kubrick Film Night - Clockwork & Shining under the Stars!

FreiKultur 2026 presents special open-air film screenings in the courtyard of CD-Kaserne, supported by Sparkasse Celle - Gifhorn - Wolfsburg.

Over eight evenings, audiences gather in the charming courtyard of Celle's cultural centre to watch true cult classics. Guests can settle into deckchairs, picnic benches, or their own blankets brought from home.

For fans of dark tension, visual perfection, and cinematic landmarks: CD-Kaserne hosts a full Stanley Kubrick film night - open air in the atmospheric inner courtyard. Two masterpieces, one evening.

Two classics, one night:

- A Clockwork Orange (1971): A provocative vision of an ultra-violent future - brutality, control, and the iconic Ludovico technique.

- The Shining (1980): Isolation, madness, and the Overlook Hotel - suspense and dread executed to perfection.

An evening with friends and family under the night sky, your own picnic basket with snacks, and a film on the big screen in the CD-Kaserne courtyard - that's FreiKultur 2026.

Guests are welcome to arrive a little early and get comfortable. The courtyard opens 30 minutes before the start. Deckchairs, picnic benches, and folding chairs are available. Food in picnic baskets is welcome; drinks are sold on site, so please leave your own beverages at home.
