Summer Ensemble of KulturScheune Herborn e.V. "Tod und Leben" - A Play by Walter Schwahn

It has been nearly 30 years since the most celebrated play by Walter Schwahn - honorary citizen of Herborn - was last performed. In 1997, audiences in the courtyard of the Hohe Schule witnessed for the last time the tragic fate of a city in the grip of plague. Obedience to the law versus humanity, compassion against rigid bureaucracy - it is the dramatic individual stories that make this play so compelling. And a story whose core remains just as relevant today.

For that reason, the time has come for "Tod und Leben" to return to the stage. Albert Follert takes the helm as director once again, supported by Adelheid Simmer.
