Summer Ensemble of KulturScheune Herborn e.V. "Tod und Leben" - A Play by Walter Schwahn

Nearly 30 years have passed since the last staging of what is widely regarded as the most significant theatrical work by Walter Schwahn, honorary citizen of Herborn. In 1997, audiences gathered in the courtyard of the Hohe Schule for the final time to witness the tragic fate of a city in the grip of plague.

The play draws its power from the individual dramas of its characters: obedience to the law versus humanity, compassion versus rigid bureaucracy - conflicts that remain as relevant today as ever.

Direction is once again in the hands of Albert Follert, supported by Adelheid Simmer.
