Passengers regularly vanish without a trace on cruise ships.
One day, a young girl suddenly reappears - she had disappeared weeks earlier aboard the 'Sultan of the Seas'.
To investigate what really happens on the open sea, an experienced police psychologist boards the ship. He soon discovers that behind the luxurious facade lurk dark abysses, the truth can be deadly, and he must confront his own past.
