Mordskolleginnen - Crime Comedy by Frank Piotraschke
Konzert- und Theatersaal Nordhorn, Germany
It starts like any ordinary day at the office - and ends with a body in a cardboard box:
Claudia has given everything she has - and still gets passed over for promotion. Instead, her slimy colleague Hagen moves up - with the help of Dorothee, who suddenly seems a lot less supportive than before. And then there's Steffi - a bit scatterbrained, a bit naive - or maybe shrewder than anyone suspected?
Amid office politics, power games and sexist behaviour, things spiral out of control. Hagen turns up dead in the office. One of them claims self-defence, another calls it an accident - and the third has a cardboard box ready to go. But the more they try to explain themselves, the less the story holds together and the harder the truth becomes to pin down...
"Mordskolleginnen" is more than a crime comedy - it's a sharp satire on the dynamics and dark undercurrents lurking in many workplaces. With plenty of black humour, biting punchlines and a generous dose of madness, the play shows just how thin the line can be between professional ambition and human depravity.
