Zoom! - A Comedy in Four Windows

When an ordinary video conference turns into chaotic family comedy, the laughter never stops. "Zoom!" pulls you in from the very first second into a turbulent, misunderstanding-filled reunion of four siblings that will leave no eye dry.
This witty piece comes from the pen of Dietmar Jacobs, the author of the acclaimed comedy "Extrawurst", which conquered cinema screens in early 2026 with Hape Kerkeling and Christoph Maria Herbst. Together with cabaret artist and moderator Christian Ehring ("Extra3") and author Martin Maier-Bode, he has crafted an intelligent and wildly absurd comedy - a "video conference" created through theatrical means that captures the essence of our time.
At the heart of the play are three brothers and a sister who have grown distant over the years. The occasion for their digital reunion seems harmless at first: they need to find a gift for their parents' golden wedding anniversary. But what begins as a simple task quickly spirals into a turbulent exchange of views filled with misunderstandings, old conflicts, and surprising revelations.
Each pursues their own vision - and so not only opinions but entire life philosophies collide with one another.
The stage itself becomes the experience: four boxes arranged like the windows of a Zoom conference offer glimpses into four completely different worlds. This ingenious staging lifts the digital two-dimensionality into a living theatrical world and makes the distance between characters as tangible as their attempts to draw closer to one another.
"Zoom!" is more than a comedy about technical mishaps. It is a fast-paced, cleverly observed piece about family, about life in echo chambers - and about whether, despite all our differences, we can find our way back to each other. An evening full of laughter, recognition, and surprising moments.
