KUBAA slam

Poetry Slam has been a format in Germany for over 30 years. In Aalen, it has long been an institution. All performances follow strict rules: only self-written texts are allowed. Each piece is limited to six minutes, and no props may be brought on stage.

Moderator Johannes Elster welcomes five slam poets from the German-speaking region who will compete in a literary contest.

The slammers perform stories and poems, stand-up and social commentary, poetic and raw texts. The audience decides who advances to the final and ultimately wins the KUBAA slam.
