Poetry Slam with Johannes Elster

Poetry Slam in Schwäbisch Gmünd has a rich history since 2015. After performances at various venues, it has found its home at Kulturzentrum Prediger, where it takes place twice a year. In autumn as part of the Literaturtage "wortReich" festival and in spring.

Host and moderator Johannes Elster, one of the country's most renowned slam poetry moderators, invites five accomplished word artists. Over six minutes each, they present poems and stories filled with emotion and humour. The audience decides who advances to the final and wins.

The winner receives a personalised greeting card with live applause and gifts brought by the audience: something heartfelt, quirky, or original is very welcome.
