Following the great audience success of DIE ERDE HAT EINE SCHEIBE, the HERKULESKEULE ensemble returns to the allotment garden - with new texts and songs, but in the same old spirit: against the grain, regardless of sensitivities on the left or right, against thought-policing and for peace!

With six left hands, a blunt spade but a sharp tongue, three cabaret performers argue over the question: is there any point in planting a tree in this world? Or should they dig a bunker instead - as shelter from left-wing fantasies about saving the planet and right-wing visions of the people, from bans on words, from the exclusion of anyone who thinks differently from a press that has voluntarily started to sound the same? Or is all of this just a smokescreen in a new struggle over the distribution of wealth between rich and poor? The trio digs into the murky depths of opinion-making, stumbling upon the absurd and the contradictory. What is still worth believing in, what is still worth fighting for? Tree or bunker? Future or dig in?

HERKULESKEULE offers no answers. Laughing at the world and mocking themselves - that is what they do best, these cabaret artists from a tradition spanning more than 60 years.
