Alte Bekannte - Mehr! - Live Open Air

Marburg's summer nights 2025 are approaching - but we're already looking forward to what's coming in 2026: on July 19, music fans can look forward to a very special evening, as one of Germany's most successful and charismatic vocal ensembles takes the stage at Schloßpark - Alte Bekannte.

Since their debut in 2018, these five musicians have become a fixture of the German-language music scene. As the direct successors to Wise Guys, they bring not only years of stage experience but also their own distinctive profile. With "Mehr! - Live", they present their fifth stage programme in 2026 - a high-energy mix of brand-new songs, beloved hits from previous albums, and carefully selected "indestructible" classics from their predecessor band.

The quintet performs their German-language a cappella songs with unparalleled authenticity - EVERYTHING! is created exclusively with human voices, including the rhythm section.

Their live concerts radiate enormous energy. Between witty humour, introspective moments, and musical precision, each concert evening becomes a shared experience that moves and connects people.

That Alte Bekannte is a genuine phenomenon is shown not only by their impressive concert record - over 160 shows since 2021 - but also by the strong bond with their audience. Songs like "Lehrerkind" and "Ja ja Stress", the blend of emotional depth and subtle irony, and direct communication on stage make every concert a collective experience.

We are particularly delighted to welcome Daniel "Dän" Dickopf to Marburg, a founding member of both Wise Guys and Alte Bekannte. After a serious illness, the singer has made an impressive return to the stage - with passion, creativity, and zest for life that shines through in every song.
