Hey you! Get to work! Your country needs you! Our dear chancellor is just the latest in a long line of clowns desperate for us to work harder, longer, (deeper?) for the good of the fatherland - and if we don't stop sticking our fingers everywhere and changing our pronouns every five minutes, we'll certainly never work our way into (checks notes) the employer's paradise of the Federal Republic of Germany! But what's in it for us? What is this national community we're supposed to care about? What role does work play in deciding who belongs and who doesn't?
"Queer and Present Dangers" is an experimental talkshow series by Olympia Bukkakis that questions imagined communities, works hard, and clocks out as fast as possible. In this edition, the theme is "The Nation at Work", and we welcome, among others, Elvan Tekin and Hassandra, who help Olympia put the show on its feet.
