Men, Women and Other Catastrophes

"Women are sharks. Give them a finger and they'll take your whole arm," he thinks. She has more complaints about the average man than about Deutsche Bahn. Men and women simply don't go together. Yet the fact that they keep trying anyway is what adds spice to life and substance to KIECK-Theater's programme. Drawing on texts by various poets, actress Cornelia Thiele embarks on playful explorations where she eavesdrops on Lottchen and her lovers, compares men, kisses frogs, says "hello" to the handsome Mr. Death, and barely escapes one catastrophe after another.

Thomas Kieck, like many men, rarely gets a word in, but as a guitar accompanist he is indispensable. And watching them play together, you see it again: how beautifully men and women can complement each other - sometimes even without catastrophes.
