Among the sun-drenched vineyards of the Kaiserstuhl, a new era dawns in the mid-1970s. It is the story of Johanna - the first in her family to attend university, who breathes in the freedom of a shared flat in Freiburg, only to be forced back to her family roots by a stroke of fate. Brigitte Glaser has lived in Cologne for over 30 years. Before turning to writing, she worked as a social educator with young people and in the media sector. Today she writes books for young adults and crime novels for adults, including her successful series featuring cook Katharina Schweitzer. Her breakthrough came with Bühlerhöhe.
