The Chambers - Virtuosos from Cologne

The Chambers perform classical music by Verdi, Bach, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi and others - alongside pop music in both modern and classical arrangements.

Concertmaster and arrangements: Artiom Kononov, violin. Possible instrumentation: violin, viola, cello, double bass, and pan flute/transverse flute - flexibly adapted to each concert.

This year the ensemble received a grant from the Music Council and the Initiative Kultur from Berlin in recognition of its outstanding work. A jury selected The Chambers and awarded the musicians support that few orchestras in Germany have access to. The members met in Cologne but come from Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Latvia, Greece and France - a living example that culture across borders not only works, but brings inspiration together.
