Emil Brandqvist Trio

Swedish drummer and composer Emil Brandqvist brings together Scandinavian jazz tradition and contemporary expression through a distinctly Nordic sound aesthetic, refined dynamics and melodic clarity. Joined by Finnish pianist Tuomas A. Turunen and bassist Max Thornberg, the trio delivers a blend of modern piano jazz, lyrical chamber music and song-like structures - held together by subtle harmony, precise rhythm and a quietly atmospheric presence.
