Punt Tour - Themed Guided Tour

The Enz river once played a key role in the tanning industry that flourished in Vaihingen - it supplied the water the tanneries needed. Until it was rerouted in the 1950s, the mill canal branching off from the river also served as a transport route between the tanneries and the bark mill (Lohmühle). Ground bark used in leather processing was ferried along the canal by boat.

This guided tour revives that old tradition. The punt ride offers a distinctive view of this historically rich riverside town.
