Stocherkahn Boat Tour - Themed Excursion

The Enz river played a central role in Vaihingen's tanning industry: it supplied the necessary water, and the mill channel branching off from it served until the 1950s as a transport route between the tanneries and the bark mill. Boats carried ground bark - the raw material for leather processing - along the canal to the tanners.

This themed excursion recalls that tradition. A ride on the Lohkahn boat reveals the city by the river from an unusual perspective.
