Altmühlsee Festspiele "Ziemlich beste Freunde"

As the summer evening settles over the Altmühlsee and the open-air stage comes to life, "Ziemlich beste Freunde" - based on the film of the same name by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano - tells a story that moves, delights and goes straight to the heart.

At the centre are Philippe, a wealthy man left quadriplegic after an accident, and Driss, a young man with rough edges and an enormous appetite for life. Two people from completely different worlds who meet by chance - and whose collision grows into one of the most remarkable friendships of our time. What at first looks like chaos gradually becomes trust, closeness and a fresh perspective on life.

With plenty of humour, warmth and honest emotion, the play shows how liberating it can be to open up to another person, push past boundaries and embrace life again with full force. Quiet moments alternate with hearty laughter, all carried by the special atmosphere of an evening performance under the open sky.
