The Ugly Duckling - Puppet Theatre

A puppet theatre performance of "The Ugly Duckling" for children aged 4 and up.
A wonderful tale of transformation, with plenty of setbacks along the way.

It is summer, and a mother duck is sitting on her eggs. Three pretty, adorable ducklings hatch first and marvel at the world around them. Finally, a fourth hatches too - but to everyone's horror, it looks completely different. The farmyard animals laugh, mock and snap at it, until the unhappy creature decides to set off alone into the wide world. Yet everywhere it goes, it feels unwelcome, drifting from one disappointment to the next. A gloomy autumn gives way to a harsh winter, and despair deepens. Only the children in the audience stand by its side - until spring finally arrives and brings a great surprise.
