With "The Tempest", Shakespeare crafted a dazzling late work poised between fairy tale, power struggle and grotesque comedy. In tri-bühne's production, poetic imagery collides with abrupt shifts in perspective, melancholy moments with absurdist humour and clownish situations.

The island becomes a site of inner and outer conflict: memories surface, identities waver, alliances keep shifting. Characters appear doubled, contradict themselves or lose control of their own stories.

Between magic, deception and rebellion, a layered theatrical evening takes shape - one that takes Shakespeare's text seriously while gleefully pulling it apart. Comedy emerges where power tips into the ridiculous, language breaks down and control suddenly gives way to chaos.

"Sturm" is thus both a poetic and an anarchic piece of theatre - a chamber adaptation for a small ensemble, full of wit, darkness and unexpected tenderness.
