Street Art in Gießen - Murals between Dream and Reality

Three street art festivals between 2017 and 2019 have turned Gießen's city centre into a sizeable open-air gallery. The RIVER TALES project launched in 2012 along the Lahn bridges, initiated and run by the local collective 3Steps. Since then, international artists have left their individual mural paintings across the city.

Many are tucked away, as the available walls sit in side streets and courtyards. This walking tour also takes in some older murals and explores the stories behind historic street names.
