City History Walking Tour

This guided tour of Calw covers the city's history and architecture: the former local nobility, the life and work of Hermann Hesse, and the many half-timbered houses scattered through the old town. Medieval fortifications also feature - including the curious role played by "der Lange".

The public tour includes a free visit to Palais Vischer, the city's current museum, built in the Louis XVI style.
