In Axel Poike's new version, Hansel and Gretel are drawn into a seductive world of sweets and temptation, where a witch and her chocolate house put the children in danger. In the end, both must learn that beauty and indulgence often conceal the greatest peril.

The production sold out after just a few performances in summer 2025 and remained sold out until the end of the season. In 2026 it returns to Gutspark Open Air - for those who missed it the first time, or those who want to see it again.
