Misery - based on the novel by Stephen King

Paul Sheldon is a celebrated author who has built his career on a series of romantic "Misery" novels starring a glamorous heroine named Misery Chastain. When Paul is involved in a car accident during a snowstorm, he is rescued by his biggest fan, Annie Wilkes, and wakes up badly injured in her home.

Annie may be a devoted admirer of his "Misery" books, but instead of rest and recovery, Paul finds himself terrorised: Annie is furious about his latest, more literary work and horrified by the ending of the last "Misery" novel.

She forces him to write a new manuscript that will give her beloved character Misery Chastain a more satisfying fate. Paul reluctantly gets to work, but the violent swings between adoration and terror keep escalating - until a dramatic conclusion.
