Concert II

The second concert in the International Organ Concert Series takes place on Sunday, 2 August at 5 pm, with Johan Treichel as guest - titular organist at the collegiate church of Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura and professor at the Hochschule der Künste Bern.

Treichel is a musician who lives and breathes his art, with a rare ability to bring together contrasting styles and forge something new from the spirit of improvisation. For this concert he plays both organ and harpsichord, casting the Baroque masters Scheidemann and Bach in a fresh light - with electronics woven in alongside.
