WDR Big Band | Monk's Mood - WDR Big Band plays Thelonious Monk

WDR Big Band performs in Cologne on Saturday, 16 January 2027 at WDR Sendesaal. The concert is dedicated to the work of Thelonious Monk, the legendary jazz pianist and composer. This is one of nine German dates on the orchestra's tour. WDR Sendesaal is the main concert hall of the public broadcaster Westdeutscher Rundfunk, located within the WDR radio complex. Built in the 1950s, the hall serves as the home stage for the WDR Symphony Orchestra and WDR Radio Choir. Audiences will hear Monk's compositions performed by one of Germany's finest jazz orchestras.
