Saxon Wines and Herbal Elixirs - after Recipes of Hildegard von Bingen
Weinkeller „Am Goldenen Wagen“, Radebeul, Germany
49 €
Herbal wine walk with tasting of Saxon wines and herbal elixirs prepared according to the recipes of Hildegard von Bingen, led by renowned garden therapist and practising naturopath Tanja Prohl and winemaker Thomas Teubert.
This walk brings you the beauty of Radebeul's vineyards with their diverse fauna and flora and their practical uses. Since vineyards are home not only to grapevines but also many useful plants, the combination of wine and herbs is a natural choice. Hildegard von Bingen herself created herbal elixirs from wine. Please inquire separately about "bachelor parties".
Walking strengthens the immune system, reduces the risk of heart and circulatory diseases, and lowers blood sugar levels. All these health aspects relate to Hildegard von Bingen's elixirs and the natural lifestyle promoted by naturopath and life reformer Friedrich Eduard Bilz from Radebeul.
During the walk, guests will taste five different grape varieties and five herbal elixirs made from wine, honey and herbs according to Hildegard von Bingen's recipes at a moderated wine tasting in the vineyard (depending on the season, directly at the plants to be viewed). Participants will learn valuable information about healthy living, wines and various medicinal herbs.
The walk also includes a visit to the demonstration and educational plantation Hoflößnitz in the electoral wine estate complex, where you can view the wild flora of the dry habitats of the Lößnitz vineyards.
