Ariel, the Little Mermaid - Family Musical

A theatrical play for children of all ages based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen - book by Jan Bodinus, music by Stefan Hiller.

The little mermaid Ariel is forbidden to swim to the ocean's surface. Yet her desire to see humans is stronger than her father Triton's command - even her friend Flipper cannot stop her. When she spots Prince Eric on his ship at the surface, she falls in love with him and soon rescues him from a terrible storm. To be with him forever, she decides to become human.

The sea witch Hydra promises to help her - in exchange for Ariel's voice. Bravely, she trades her fish tail for human legs, but has only three days to receive a kiss of true love from Eric. If she fails, she is lost forever and will turn into sea foam.

Eric is enchanted by Ariel, yet his affection belongs to the voice of his unknown rescuer. When Hydra appears and claims she saved him, he remembers only that one voice... The play ends with a loving couple who reconcile the underwater world with the human world - and a grand party with dancing and music.
