Ron Spielman Trio

Ron Spielman has released over a dozen albums under his own name, each met with glowing reviews from the specialist press. For 20 years he has worked as a guitarist and songwriter along the borders of rock, pop, blues, jazz and folk - catchy but never slick, always walking the line between accessibility and depth.

After the widely praised instrumental album "Tip of My Tongue" (2018), two live EPs followed: "The Rehearsal Sessions" (2019) and "In A Nutshell - Live at Studio Wong" (2021), both capturing this German-American Berliner and his band at their best. Improvisation here is not a stylistic device but the core of the concept - Spielman himself puts it this way: "Sometimes we play ourselves into such a frenzy that I feel like a listener who just wants to hear what happens next." He has shared the stage with Tommy Emmanuel, Beth Hart, Bootsy Collins, the Chick Corea Electric Band, the Climax Blues Band and Johnny Guitar Watson; as a touring guitarist he has backed, among others, Andreas Kümmert, Flo Mega and Ivy Quainoo.
