West Side Story

West Side Story arrives in Ettlingen on Sunday, 28 June 2026, at the courtyard of Schloss Ettlingen, a baroque palace from the 18th century in the city centre. This iconic musical by Leonard Bernstein, with its legendary songs and compelling choreography, is one of four German dates on the tour. Schloss Ettlingen, normally home to the city museum, transforms each year into the stage for Ettlinger Schlossfestspiele, an open-air theatre festival. The love story set against the backdrop of 1950s gangster New York, with the rivalry between two gangs - Jets and Sharks - transports audiences into a world of tension and passion.
