Cora Chilcott studied acting at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Potsdam-Babelsberg and completed a masterclass in chanson with Gisela May, among other training. From 2001 to 2014 she was an actress at the Berliner Ensemble and toured with her solo acting performances throughout Germany and various European countries.

Volker Jaekel studied piano, organ, and conducting in Halle/Saale, Leipzig, Weimar, and Berlin. He works as a pianist, organist, choir director, and composer in Berlin. Concert tours have taken him across Europe and overseas.
Joint performances by Cora Chilcott and Volker Jaekel have taken place at various Brecht festivals and the International Bach Weeks in Thuringia.
