Da Capo
Burg Sonnenberg, Wiesbaden, Germany
35 €
The künstlerhaus43 theatre at the Palasthotel hosts the Wiesbaden Summer Festival and eagerly awaits the legendary Leipziger Pfeffermühle cabaret, popular for over 70 years.
The sharp-witted trio of Burkhard Damrau, Peter Percy and Dieter Richter presents current scenes about dubious characters, con artists, deceivers and swindlers. The audience will laugh until tears flow. No topic is left untouched: the state drowning in debt, poverty in citizens' wallets, shameless crisis, the "zero-work week at full pay".
It's about questionable subsidies, murky pension issues, prettified environmental problems and mass tree felling to supply fools worldwide.
Damrau, Percy and Richter draw on their full range of acting and singing talent to present the wildest topics with humour on stage. Burg Sonnenberg experiences a magnificent satirical evening with a "da capo effect" and guaranteed laughs! If Burg Sonnenberg hadn't stood on its foundation for over 8 centuries, it would follow the music and the grinding mills.
Performers: Burkard Damrau, Peter Percy, Dieter Richter (cabaret), Hartmut Schwarze / Andreas Gutzschebauch (piano), Bob Korward (drums)
