Burg Sonnenberg is a medieval hilltop castle ruin in the Taunus hills above Wiesbaden-Sonnenberg, dating back to the 13th century. Once the seat of the Counts of Nassau, it fell into ruin after being destroyed in the 15th century. Today the preserved walls and tower serve as a scenic backdrop for open-air events and concerts in the warmer months.
