Insel Kirr - Exclusive Cycling Tour to a Bird Sanctuary

Guide Sylva Juhnke leads the group through the Osterwald forest to Müggenburg, where a motor launch takes participants across to the Kirr bird sanctuary island.

Kirr is the island with the greatest variety of small-scale morphological features in the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park and is considered the most important coastal bird reserve on the southern Baltic coast. On site, visitors learn about the island and its birdlife - including lapwing, black-tailed godwit, redshank, and many other species.
