Insel Kirr - Exclusive Cycling Tour to a Bird Sanctuary

Join our guide Sylva Juhnke for a cycling trip through the Osterwald forest to Müggenburg, followed by a boat crossing to the bird sanctuary island of Kirr.

On the island you will have the chance to soak in its remarkable atmosphere while learning about Kirr itself and the birds that call it home - lapwing, black-tailed godwit, redshank and many more.

Kirr is the island with the greatest diversity of small-scale morphological features in the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park and the most important coastal bird protection area on the southern Baltic coast. The crossing to the island is made by motorboat.
