Reading: "Manchmal muss man sich entscheiden"

On 10 September 2026, Domenico Müllensiefen will read from his novel "Manchmal muss man sich entscheiden" at Hugendubel bookshop in Leipzig.

At the heart of the story is Sandra, a truck driver faced with an impossible choice: save her cargo or secure her daughter's future. A road novel across Germany - and through the doubts of a woman who has to make the right call just once in her life.

Domenico Müllensiefen was born in 1987 in Magdeburg. He trained at Deutsche Telekom and worked as a technician in Leipzig before studying at the Deutsches Literaturinstitut from 2011, where he completed his master's degree. He now lives in Leipzig as a freelance writer. His debut novel "Aus unseren Feuern" earned him the Uwe Johnson Förderpreis, among other awards; his most recent novel is "Schnall dich an, es geht los".
