Dome Ascent

One of Dresden's finest viewpoints awaits at the top of the Frauenkirche - and the climb itself is an experience full of discoveries.

Above the dome, the soaring lantern houses the observation platform. At 67 metres above ground, visitors can take in a sweeping view over Dresden and the surrounding landscape. Depending on the weather, the panorama stretches as far as the Dresdner Heide heathland to the north, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the east, the Ore Mountains to the south, or Meissen to the west.
