In this sharp and gently comic social play, educated and well-heeled retirees gather in the countryside. The summer heat, however, is nothing compared to the heated debates about love, the meaning of life, and the burning question: where did I put my fishing rod? Between world-improvers, doubters, know-it-alls and the stubbornly unteachable, a whirl of words, vanities and surprisingly timeless insights unfolds. Once again, Karlsruhe's senior theatre group BASTA 60+ makes the point: the big questions of existence don't come with an expiry date. Expect an evening of theatre with real depth, self-deprecating humour and momentum.
