Behind the Scenes - Seat Manufacturing at Mercedes-Benz

The "Blick hinter die Kulissen" (Behind the Scenes) event series offers a close-up look at the world of Mercedes-Benz.

Everything starts at the Mercedes-Benz Kundencenter in Sindelfingen with a warm welcome and an introductory film in the cinema room. Each event in the series focuses on a different part of the Sindelfingen plant, giving visitors a first-hand look at how the cars are made.

For the seat manufacturing tour, participants travel by shuttle from the Kundencenter to the Mercedes-Benz facility in Böblingen-Hulb. There, you can explore the production of individually crafted, customer-specific High-End seats for the S-Class saloon. The tour covers what goes inside a seat and how 4D sound, massage functions, driving dynamics and safety systems turn it into an innovative vehicle feature. At the end of the tour, the shuttle brings everyone back to the Kundencenter.
