When "Let's keep in touch" suddenly turns deadly serious
Peter and Debbie from London met Elsa on the beach - a widowed American, charmingly odd, great fun to be around. They promised to stay in touch. They both knew nothing would come of it. Until Elsa turns up unannounced on their doorstep months later. While Debbie puts the kettle on, Peter starts googling. What he finds makes them both break into a cold sweat: Elsa is a suspected serial killer - the police have been after her for years but never managed to prove anything. The only problem is she's now asleep in the guest room. How do you get rid of a potential killer without being rude - or worse, looking suspicious? Teenage son Alex thinks the internet panic is nonsense. He and his sister are completely taken with Elsa and, under her influence, turn into perfect little angels. Maybe it's all just a misunderstanding! Then the police ring the doorbell...
British humour straight from the source
Steven Moffat - showrunner of Sherlock and Doctor Who - delivers exactly what you'd expect: sharp dialogue, layered characters, and a pace that never lets up. "Eine Mords-Freundin" is British comedy at its purest: frenetic, darkly funny, and pleasantly irreverent.
Why you should come
A Moffat script in a high-quality German-language production, a TV-familiar ensemble on tour, and a comedy that makes you laugh while quietly asking: how well do I really know the people I cheerfully invite inside? Ninety minutes of suspense with punchlines guaranteed - an evening that will make you look at your next holiday acquaintances in a whole new light.
The cast
Marion Kracht as Elsa - the woman you can never quite read: is she lovingly baking you a cake, or slipping something into your drink? Marion Kracht has been in front of the camera since childhood and for the past four years...
