FreiKultur - Casablanca

FreiKultur 2026 brings eight evenings of cult cinema to the courtyard of CD-Kaserne in Celle, supported by Sparkasse Celle - Gifhorn - Wolfsburg. Entry is free - on the night, you can voluntarily toss a contribution into the "hat", with every cent going directly to the artists.

The courtyard opens 30 minutes before the screening. Deck chairs, picnic benches and folding chairs are provided; feel free to bring your own picnic blanket. Food hampers are welcome, drinks are available on site - please don't bring your own.

Casablanca (1942, 102 min., FSK 6, drama / romance): In occupied Morocco, American expatriate Rick Blaine runs a bar where refugees wait for a chance to move on. When his former lover Ilsa Lund arrives with her husband - a wanted resistance fighter - Rick is forced to confront his past and choose between old feelings, loyalty and political danger.
