Conviction Without Hatred - Lecture with Ahmad Mansour — Festspielhaus am Wall, Emden

Social tensions are rising, constructive dialogue is disappearing, mistrust and polarization are growing - even beyond political extremes. Ahmad Mansour's lecture "Conviction Without Hatred" examines these developments and asks how a democratic society can return to dialogue.

At the heart of the discussion is the question of how to maintain and strengthen the capacity for dialogue - even with people who hold different views. The lecture advocates for an open culture of discussion as the foundation of democratic coexistence and demonstrates why listening and engagement are crucial to countering social fragmentation.

Ahmad Mansour is a psychologist and author based in Berlin. His focus areas include democracy promotion, extremism prevention, and combating antisemitism. He works as a speaker at schools, universities, government agencies, and private companies throughout Germany, founded an initiative for democracy promotion and extremism prevention in 2018, and regularly writes columns for WELT.
