Schützentheater 2026 - Aladdin and the Magic Lamp Group I Student Performance
Stadthalle Biberach, Biberach an der Riß, Germany
11 €
Aladdin is a poor but kind-hearted boy who makes a living with his mother through odd jobs. His faithful companion is the monkey Balu. One day at the bazaar, Aladdin meets a rather gruff "fellow" who does not wish to be recognized. It turns out to be Princess Saida. She has escaped from the palace to experience life beyond its walls. She also wants to escape the Grand Vizier Jaffar, who wishes to marry her. But Jaffar is actually a terrible sorcerer! Saida's outing is short-lived, as Jaffar sends palace guards to capture the runaway. Aladdin, who is charmed by the courageous and independent princess, wants to help her, but is himself captured by Jaffar. To secure his freedom, Jaffar orders Aladdin to bring him a mysterious lamp from a cave. Aladdin does obtain the lamp, but refuses to hand it over when he realizes Jaffar is playing him false. In his rage, Jaffar leaves Aladdin trapped in the cave with the lamp. Aladdin manages to escape! What a surprise when a lamp spirit emerges from the lamp, one who can even grant wishes - but only three! One wish brings Aladdin and Balu back to the palace. Unfortunately, they arrive too late. Jaffar has abducted Princess Saida! Aladdin sets out with his lamp spirit, Balu, and a flying carpet on an adventurous quest to rescue Saida!
Whether the carpet will actually fly in the end is for you to discover! Come to the Biberach Schützentheater!
