Schützentheater 2026 - Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, Group II
Stadthalle Biberach, Biberach an der Riß, Germany
11 €
Aladdin is a poor but good-natured boy who scrapes by with odd jobs to support himself and his mother. His faithful companion is Balu the monkey. One day at the bazaar, Aladdin runs into a rather unfriendly "stranger" who doesn't want to be recognised. It turns out to be Princess Saida - she has slipped out of the palace to experience life beyond its walls and to escape the Grand Vizier Jafar, who wants to make her his wife. Jafar, however, is a scheming sorcerer!
Saida's outing is short-lived: Jafar sends his palace guards to catch the runaway. Aladdin, taken with the brave and headstrong princess, tries to help her - but ends up captured by Jafar himself. Jafar orders him to retrieve a mysterious lamp from a cave. Aladdin gets hold of the lamp, but when he realises Jafar is playing him false, he refuses to hand it over. In a rage, Jafar leaves him trapped in the cave with the lamp. Aladdin manages to escape!
What a surprise when a genie emerges from the lamp - one who can grant wishes, but only three! One wish brings Aladdin and Balu back to the palace. Unfortunately they arrive too late: Jafar has kidnapped Princess Saida! Aladdin sets off with his genie, Balu, and a flying carpet on a daring rescue mission.
Whether the carpet actually flies is something you'll have to find out for yourself! Come along to the Schützentheater in Biberach!
