For the complete performance of Biber's Mystery Sonatas, the Köthen Palace Chapel is transformed into a multidimensional sound space. Tabea Höfer and Georg Kallweit, together with Flora Fabri and Luise Enzian, have developed their own instrumentations and spatial arrangements for a selection of the sonatas - accompanied by a specially designed lighting installation.

The Biber-Zyklus takes place on Fridays (13) (16) and Saturdays (19) (25) (27); each concert lasts 45 minutes.

Tickets for the full cycle: 55 €, concession 30 €. The venue is not wheelchair accessible.

Schloss Köthen is a baroque palace complex in the centre of Köthen (Anhalt), best known as the workplace of Johann Sebastian Bach, who served as court Kapellmeister here from 1717 to 1723. The restored palace wings today house a museum and a versatile event centre that hosts concerts, conferences and cultural festivals - including the annual Bach festival held in his honour.
