Schloss Köthen is a baroque palace complex in the centre of Köthen (Anhalt), best known as the workplace of Johann Sebastian Bach, who served as court Kapellmeister here from 1717 to 1723. The restored palace wings today house a museum and a versatile event centre that hosts concerts, conferences and cultural festivals - including the annual Bach festival held in his honour.
