Eva Klesse Quartett

Drummer and Jazz Prize winner Eva Klesse has been one of the defining voices in European jazz for years. Together with Tino Derado, Evgeny Ring and Marc Muellbauer, her quartet crafts music that can be complex without ever feeling remote. Finely wrought, open and full of momentum, the band's performances draw their energy from the joy of playing - a quality that emerges live from the constant act of listening and responding to one another.

The band has long since found its own sound: four outstanding musicians whose collective strength comes above all from their interplay. The pieces often feel like wordless narratives.
