A concert full of joie de vivre, elegance and musical highlights awaits visitors on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at 3 p.m. in the Albert-Einstein-Forum.
Under the title "Cheerfulness and Joie de Vivre", Salonorchester Kaarst presents a varied programme featuring works by renowned composers such as Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár, Enrico Toselli and Giuseppe Verdi.
Look forward to familiar opera and operetta melodies as well as popular concert pieces. Highlights include the famous "Trinklied" from Verdi's La Traviata, "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" from Lehár's The Land of Smiles and the world-renowned tango "Jalousie" by Jacob Gade.
Soprano Elena Bär and tenor Emanuele Martinez provide special musical accents, taking the audience on a varied musical journey together with Salonorchester Kaarst.
Musical direction is provided by Gerhard Dierig, a professional musician with the Gürzenich-Orchester Cologne and lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne.
