Sakurai Ensemble: Animal Music for Clever Foxes

A soft purring in the cello, excited chirping in the flute, a deep rumble in the saxophone - and suddenly the Zehntstadel becomes a forest, a farmyard, or a mysterious savanna. Together with the Sakurai Ensemble (Florian Riedl, Juli Linden, Andreas Höricht and Anna Rehker), children explore the animal kingdom: how does a frog leap in musical notes? And can a quartet conjure up an entire zoo?

At this special concert, the music doesn't just sound - it becomes visible too. Doris Eisenburger, a well-known illustrator of children's books, draws live on stage and brings the animals to life on her canvas.

Guessing and joining in are very much encouraged. A playful adventure for curious ears and clever foxes.
